Sommelier's opinion

Elena Fucci's story is very exciting. In 2000, when she was very young, she stopped the sale of the historic family vineyards to undertake viticulture and oenology studies to begin this adventure. Today its 6 hectares at the foot of Monte Vulture host the oldest vineyards in the area and give life to a great wine: it is called Titolo, like the district of the same name, and it is the only wine produced by the company, 100% Aglianico.

Tasting this wine was a real journey. Titolo is a chameleon-like wine that displaces us with every sip. Usually we don't go into much detail but this wine would be the playground of an aspiring sommelier. It confuses us first with balsamic notes, which from mint change to hints of wood. In the mouth it is grumpy and protects its fruit heart with an alcoholic embrace and tannins still in great shape. Maybe it was time to wait a little longer to open it? No, because the minutes pass and the Aglianico becomes welcoming, soft, an explosion of ripe fruit, jam. An hour later we fell in love, a very good nectar with infinite persistence .... and instead the bottle is over.

We should advise you to uncork it one or even two hours before in order to fully enjoy this wine, but no! Take this journey, sip after sip and ... but have a second bottle ready!
