Sommelier's opinion

We have already tasted Selvarossa Riserva in the past, with the 2012 vintage proved sensational. This 2014 today reminds us of a wary aristocratic lady who does not allow herself to be easily approached while sipping her coffee, but at the same time stands out with her intense aroma and the evident hint of tobacco. This wine has a band on the neck of the bottle with the words "President's selection". The President saw us along because this lady has a lot to tell and must be waited for. After a long courtship, in fact, she indulges in a very pleasant conversation.

It is a somewhat rowdy wine, where you have to wait for the predominant tertiary scents to vent to get to the sweet and welcoming heart of the land where it comes from. By making your way through the notes of coffee, cocoa and tobacco, you can enjoy a fruity sweet finish due to the presence of ripe and dried grapes. Perhaps 2014 was not the best year but Selvarossa Riserva will always have a reserved place in our cellar.
