Sommelier's opinion

This wine is part of the classic line of the "Abbazia di Novacella", characterized by an excellent quality/price ratio. The Augustinian monks have handed down the wine traditions of the Isarco Valley since 1142 and their wines are always characterized by an innate elegance. This is a pure Kerner, an aromatic grape created in Germany by crossing Rhenish riesling and big slave, very fragrant and with a strong flavor and a mineral and persistent finish.

It is a very versatile wine, which we have combined with great satisfaction with sushi and sashimi. For its finesse and intense floral scents it can be perfect for a romantic fish dinner. For its "apparent" ease of drinking, it is ideal with appetizers and aperitifs but be careful with its 14 °. It is a wine with a decent structure which, served at a couple of degrees more, can be untangled well even with more elaborate plans such as mushrooms, pasta and fish soups with tomato.
